So, yes, the name seems long, but until recently, our little Trou aux Biches boasted two Golosonas... and as you can imagine when callling up for takeaways, or asking Google Maps where each one was became a little two confusing, so in their infinite wisdom, the owners changed the name of our cute little beachy one to Da Andrea e Maila... which is like stumbling into a Roman holiday without leaving the island. From the moment you walk in, the dining room hums with Italian warmth, smiles arriving before menus, cutlery clinking alongside quiet laughter. Family-run pride shows in every detail, from the olive oil poured without hesitation to the gentle introductions of each dish.
The kitchen honours classic Italian technique. Handmade pasta and pizza bases have the perfect bite, sauces are reduced to harmony and seafood tastes as if the coast had whispered its approval. Portions are thoughtful, desserts decadent and wine pairings subtly guide you toward bottles you’d not have usually considered.
The magic is in the intimacy. Couples linger, families celebrate quietly, and regulars greet the owners like old friends. There’s no spectacle here; everything is done with generosity and natural ease. For Italian comfort cooked with precision and served with heartfelt hospitality, this is one of the island’s tables we return to without hesitation.
