CATAMARAN TOUR BY BLUE SAFARI

Blue Safari is one of those experiences we recommend sparingly, not because it is difficult to book, but because it deserves to be chosen deliberately. Seeing Mauritius from the water rearranges your sense of the island entirely. The coastline stretches wider, colours deepen and the rhythm of the day slows to something far more natural than anything happening on land.
We have sailed different coasts with them and each tells its own story. The north frames the striking outline of Coin de Mire rising cleanly from the sea. The west often surprises with dolphins moving effortlessly alongside the boat, sometimes turtles drifting just below the surface. The east feels almost untouched, with pale sandbanks and that luminous turquoise around Île aux Cerfs that looks unreal until you are floating in it.
Time on board moves without pressure. Snorkelling when the water calls, long pauses for swimming, a freshly grilled lunch that somehow tastes better at sea and the quiet pleasure of choosing between sun or shade while the coastline slides by. The crew run the day with quiet competence, present when needed and otherwise allowing the ocean to do the talking.
There are many ways to see Mauritius, but a full day at sea remains one of the rare experiences that genuinely shifts how you remember the island. If your itinerary has room for only a handful of defining moments, this should sit very close to the top.
